An end to meter reading?!

Spark Energy, the gas and electricity supplier to the lettings industry, is rolling out smart meters across its customer base to encourage greater energy efficiency and improve customer service. Smart meters communicate directly between the supplier and the consumer, allowing consumers to see how much energy theu are using and how much it costs when individual appliances are turned on as well as providing accurate remote meter readings and an end to estimated bills. Smart metering will reduce the agents' admin as well as providing more accurate billing energy consumption data for customers.
